8 ft vs 10 ft Tension Fabric Backdrop: Which Fits Your Booth?

8 ft vs 10 ft Tension Fabric Backdrop: Which Fits Your Booth?

Updated October 2026

Short answer: a 10 ft backdrop fills the back of a standard 10x10 booth edge to edge. An 8 ft backdrop costs $100 less and leaves about a foot of open space each side. Both are 7.48 ft tall. Packeze tension fabric backdrops start at $299 (8 ft) and $399 (10 ft) for the printed fabric. A frame is optional.

8 ft vs 10 ft at a glance

  • Fabric only, double-sided: $358.80.
  • With aluminum frame, single-sided: $549.
  • With aluminum frame, double-sided: $658.80.

10 ft backdrop

  • Fabric only, double-sided: $478.80.

When to choose the 10 ft

  • You have a standard 10x10 booth and want a seamless wall of branding edge to edge.
  • Your booth has no hard back wall or pipe-and-drape behind it, so the backdrop is the wall.
  • You want the biggest possible graphic for your logo and message.

When to choose the 8 ft

  • You want space at the sides to walk behind the display, or to keep stock tucked out of sight.
  • Your booth is shallow or oddly shaped, or the show only gives you an 8 ft back.
  • You also do smaller events: 8 ft fits more spaces, such as lobbies, tabletop shows and hotel ballrooms.
  • Budget matters: it's $100–$180 less than the 10 ft, depending on frame and printing.

Single-sided or double-sided?

Single-sided is right when the backdrop stands against a wall or at the back of a booth. Go double-sided when people can see the back: in an island booth, at a corner or in the middle of a room. Double-sided costs about $60–$140 more depending on size and frame.

Vinyl instead?

If you mainly need a photo wall (a step and repeat), vinyl backdrops come in 8x8 ft ($234–$376.80) and 10x8 ft ($264–$412.80) with a glossy finish. Fabric is the better choice for a matte, wrinkle-free trade show look.
